The TWO Coordinators for 2015 are Elissa Bowling and Glen Zinck. You can contact them at TWO@tufts.edu
Elissa Bowling - Program Coordinator
Elissa first met TWO on her freshman trip in 2011. Wilderness continued to be a huge part of her life as she became a member of support staff and a two-time backpacking leader. Originally from Lexington, MA, Elissa is majoring in International Relations and History. In her spare time, she has also enjoyed goalkeeping on the women’s club soccer team, trumpeting in jazz big band, and organizing events for the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy. TWO has been the backbone of Elissa’s entire college experience, and she eagerly awaits the opportunity to welcome incoming Tufts students with an extraordinary pre-orientation program!
Glen Zinck – Program Coordinator
Glen has been a part of TWO since his freshman year on a backpacking trip. Since his amazing time, he was on support staff his sophomore year then a two time backpacking leader his junior and senior years. Glen hails from Seattle, Washington and has loved the outdoors his whole life. He will graduate from Tufts in May with a BS in Biology and can’t wait to welcome the new generation of Jumbos!
West Foster – Support Staff Coordinator
West is the first born son of Steve Foster and Alexa Foster, soft spoken suburban folk of southern California. Much like the Baggins of the Shire, a burning flame dwells deep within the hearts of the Fosters, an insatiable desire to explore. Pulled by this flame, West journeyed from his sunny home state to Tufts, where he was warmly welcomed by the TWO community. West is now a rising junior studying philosophy and environmental science and couldn’t be happier to give back to the wilderness community by working for TWO. In his free time West enjoys hobbies.
Christa Ricker- Program Director
Christa joined TWO in the spring of 2012. She is a native of NH with a love for all things outdoors, but most specifically bouldering and winter camping. Christa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education from the University of New Hampshire and is currently pursuing her Master’s in the same program, which she recently learned is considered a “double wildcat”. Awesome.
Christa’s main focus in her college studies was on college Outdoor Orientation Programs, and she is so happy to put that passion to use here at Tufts!
